Short version: we collect the least we can, we process your video on hardware we own inside the EU, it never goes to a third-party AI provider, and we delete it when you ask. This page says exactly what that means, because a claim about data handling is worth nothing without the detail.

Your IP address
Any web server records the IP address of the computer requesting a page — ours included. We are naming it here rather than leaving it unsaid, because "we don't collect anything" would not be true of any website.
There is a second, more specific case we want to be exact about, because a vaguer version of this page previously implied otherwise. When you submit the access form, your IP address and browser string are stored in the same record as your email and your answer, and both are included in the notification we receive. They are there to tell a real request from automated abuse, and because a reply is easier to make sense of with them. So they are attached to an identified person and kept as long as the rest of that record — not merely a transient server log. We do not profile you with them, enrich them against any other source, or sell them. If you ask us to delete your record, they go with it.
What we deliberately do not do:
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Meta pixel, nothing.
- No cookies. This site sets none. That is why you were not asked about them.
- No third-party fonts. Our fonts are served from our own domain. Embedding Google Fonts transmits visitor IP addresses to a third country without consent — a German court found exactly that (LG München I, 3 O 17493/20). On a page arguing for EU data residency it would be a contradiction.
- No trackers, tag managers, session recorders or A/B tools.
Where your video is processed
This is the part that matters most, and it is a deliberate architectural choice rather than a policy promise. Uploaded video is processed on our own hardware, in the EU. It is never sent to a third-party AI provider — not OpenAI, not Google, not Anthropic, not anyone. The models that watch your footage run on machines we physically own.
Today this is a hands-on service rather than a self-serve product: you send us footage, we run it, we send back the cut. While we are working on it, your video and the frames extracted from it sit on our own machines. There is no automatic expiry yet — we would rather say that than describe a deletion schedule we have not built. Ask us and we delete it, and we delete everything from finished jobs when you tell us to.
An Amazon S3 bucket in Frankfurt (eu-central-1) exists for handing files over. Nothing is processed there — it is storage, and the analysis happens after the file has been pulled down to our hardware.

That is the complete list. Where a processor is outside the EEA we rely on the 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email 112@nectr.video and we will act within 30 days. There is no form and no account required — one sentence is enough.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).
AI transparency
Nectr edits video using machine-learning models. Output it produces is machine-generated and will carry provenance marking, in line with the EU AI Act's Article 50 transparency duties applying from 2 August 2026. We do not train models on your footage.
Children
Nectr is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this page changes materially we will say so here with a new date, and email anyone on the access list.
